They aim to provide a training programme which will aid clients with special needs to enhance their personal development and maximise their potential to enter mainstream training and/or employment.

Linked Employment (Essex Cares)
This is a service which specialises in in placing adults with disabilities into jobs. They consider all employment opportunities where the work is paid at the usual competitive rate.

Remploy
They are providers of employment services and employment to people with disabilities and complex barriers to work. They are committed to providing sustainable work opportunities for those who need it most.

Tendring Reuse and Employment Enterprise (T.R.E.E)
This is a charity providing volunteer and work placement opportunities for people in the local Clacton community with learning difficulties.

Work advice

Declaring a disability  
There is no obligation for you to disclose a disability to a potential employer - it is your own decision. You may be uncertain about how an employer may react, but there are good reasons for telling a potential employer about a disability. This page guides you through deciding how and when to declare a disability.

ADP (The Association of Disabled Professionals)
They provide employment advice, information and/or peer support for disabled people. People can ring their helpline to get in contact.

Papworth trust
They provide information on training and job brokerage for disabled people.

Pathway   
This is an employment scheme for people with learning disabilities from Mencap.

RNID  
This site offers advice for people who are deaf/hard of hearing and their employers.

Students

Skill
This is the National Bureau for Students with Disabilities. They promote entry into employment for young people and adults over 16 with disabilities.
