Working Together through Transition
Some changes are being made within the way we communicate. One of the first steps
has been to improve the way that we communicate throughout the Transition
Partnership and the creation of the Pathway Newsletter has started the ball
rolling.
Pathway aims to get all the partners within the partnership to share
information and news. The newsletter will be published quarterly and
is aimed at Young People, Parents, Carers & Professionals.
We are also in the process of developing useful information materials that
will make the transition process clearer for young people, parents, carers and
professionals.
The following organisations make up the Essex Transition Partnership:

the London Borough of Redbridge. In order to be accepted on to the
scheme traders are audited by Trading Standards. This includes a check on any
complaints made about the business, a Companies House search and a check to see
if there any outstanding County Court Judgements against the company or its
directors. Any workman entering a consumer's home has a Criminal
Records Bureau check carried out, and their subcontractors either have a similar
